Overview

Turn a growing session history into a structured workspace.

Claude Code session histories can become difficult to navigate as the number of conversations, projects, and open development windows increases.

FCLX Session Organizer adds a dedicated side panel and search surface inside Visual Studio Code. It presents existing Claude Code session history through folders, subfolders, human-readable names, search, status indicators, and session-management actions.

The product is designed for developers and technical users who treat AI-assisted conversations as durable working material rather than disposable chat history.

Qualifications and operating context

Friendly names in the editor tab

Documented

Friendly session names can be carried into the editor tab through a Visual Studio Code window reload or the on-demand Apply Name to Tab command.

Automatic live retitling is intentionally not presented as a current capability because changing a running tab automatically could interrupt an active session.

Designed around local session data.

Documented

The supplied product documentation states that the extension reads Claude Code session history stored on the user’s computer.

Folder structure, custom names, and pins are stored locally. No account, cloud service, or product telemetry is described in the current handout.

Final technical verification of file access, storage locations, command behavior, and network permissions remains pending.
